🐱❤️
1. Your Cat Gives You Slow Blinks 😽
Have you ever noticed your cat looking at you and slowly closing their eyes?
That little slow blink is one of the sweetest things a cat can do.
Cats usually stay alert around things they don’t trust. Closing their eyes makes them more vulnerable.
So when your cat looks at you, slowly closes their eyes, and opens them again, it can be a sign that they feel relaxed and safe around you.
You can even try doing it back.
Look at your cat, slowly close your eyes for a second, then open them again.
It is basically the cat version of blowing a kiss.
2. They Follow You Around the House 🐾
You go to the kitchen.
Your cat follows.
You sit down at your computer.
Suddenly, your cat is there too.
Coincidence?
Probably not.
Cats are independent animals, so if your cat regularly chooses to stay near you, that can be a strong sign of affection.
They might not always want to sit directly on your lap. Sometimes they simply want to be in the same room.
For a cat, being close to someone they trust can be enough.
And yes, apparently that includes supervising you in the bathroom.
3. They Head-Butt or Rub Against You ❤️
When your cat walks up and gently pushes their head against your hand, leg, or face, they aren't trying to start a fight.
It is usually affection.
Cats have scent glands around their face and head. When they rub against you, they leave some of their scent behind.
In simple terms, your cat is saying:
“You are part of my world.”
They may rub their cheeks against your legs when you come home or push their forehead into your hand while being petted.
It might look like a tiny head-butt.
But in cat language, it can be a very big compliment.
4. They Sleep Near You 💤
Cats take sleep seriously.
They can spend a huge part of the day sleeping, and when they do, they want to feel safe.
That is why where your cat chooses to sleep can tell you a lot.
If your cat sleeps beside you, on your bed, near your feet, or even directly on top of you, they probably feel comfortable around you.
Sleeping puts a cat in a vulnerable position.
Choosing to fall asleep next to you shows trust.
Of course, there is another possible explanation.
You are warm.
But we'll count it as love anyway.
5. They Show You Their Belly 🐱
A cat lying on their back with their belly exposed can look like an invitation:
“Please rub my belly.”
Be careful.
Sometimes it is.
Sometimes it definitely isn't. 😂
A cat's stomach is one of the most vulnerable parts of their body. If your cat lies near you with their belly exposed, it can mean they feel safe and relaxed.
That doesn't automatically mean they want you to touch it.
Some cats love belly rubs.
Others will grab your hand with four paws and remind you that you made a terrible mistake.
The important part is the trust.
Your cat feels safe enough around you to relax completely.
Cats Have Their Own Love Language
Every cat is different.
Some cats are extremely cuddly. Others prefer sitting two feet away from you and pretending they aren't interested.
One cat might sleep on your chest every night.
Another might simply sit quietly next to you.
Both can be signs of a strong bond.
The more time you spend with your cat, the more you start noticing their little ways of communicating.
So the next time your cat follows you into the bathroom, head-butts your leg, or slowly blinks at you from across the room, remember:
They might just be saying,
“I love you too.” ❤️🐾
